Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Ultrasound Technologist to join our team on a part-time basis. This role requires proficiency in both Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) and Echocardiography. The ideal candidate is a professional who thrives in an independent work environment, produces high-quality diagnostic images, and is committed to providing exceptional patient care.
Work Schedule
Hours: 2 days per week (Flexible: e.g., Monday & Wednesday).
Work-Life Balance: No weekends and no on-call requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Imaging: Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures, including general diagnostic (DMS) and cardiac (echocardiography) exams.
Patient Care: Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and ensuring comfort throughout the exam.
Diagnostic Analysis: Acquire and analyze high-quality images for physician interpretation; recognize and document normal and abnormal findings.
Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation within the EMR.
Equipment Quality Control: Ensure proper operation and maintenance of ultrasound equipment.
Compliance: Strictly follow all safety, infection control, and HIPAA guidelines.
Collaboration: Work closely with physicians and clinical staff to support comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
Certifications: * RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) Required.
RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) or equivalent Required.
Experience: Minimum [X] years of experience in both general and cardiac ultrasound preferred.
Skills: Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology; excellent communication skills; and the ability to work independently.
Preferred Skills
Experience in outpatient or private practice settings.
Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
Strong attention to detail and a high degree of diagnostic accuracy.
