Overview
Surgical Tech in a traveling role, located in Vail, Colorado. Start date: 05/11/2026 for a 13-week assignment in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting. Weekly pay range: $1,659–$1,766 per week. Guaranteed hours: 32. Shift: Rotating 3x12. Employment type: Travel - Temporary Assignment. This assignment is with Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Maintain and apply sterile and aseptic technique; integrate knowledge of anatomy and surgical procedures to support invasive procedures; follow current standards such as AORN.
- Prepare and check instruments, packs, and supplies for proper packaging, moisture control, seal integrity, and expiration dates; help ensure a safe operating environment and patient safety.
- Monitor the sterile field for potential contamination and initiate corrective actions under supervision to protect the integrity of the surgical procedure.
- Demonstrate progress toward competency or competency in Tier 1 surgical cases; participate in ongoing skill development within the perioperative team.
- Communicate effectively with the perioperative team and participate in time-out processes, briefings, and debriefings; support efficient room turnover and turnover processes as needed.

Requirements
- Education: Completion of a Certified Surgical Technologist program and/or Licensed Surgical Technologist (Colorado licensed required).
- Licenses and certifications: Colorado Surgical Technologist license required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Experience: Working toward competency or competent with Tier 1 surgical cases.
- Skills: Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking); ability to obtain basic computer skills within 90 days for online training and forms.
- Work setting: Ability to operate effectively in a sterile, fast-paced operating room environment and to collaborate with the perioperative team.
