Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – Real-Time Payments

Position Summary

We are seeking a mid-level Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to support and enhance real-time payment services, including Zelle integrations and API-driven platforms. This role requires strong technical expertise in observability, incident management, and high-availability systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and manage real-time payment systems (e.g., Zelle instant payments)
  • Work with API platforms, specifically Google Apigee
  • Monitor system health and performance using observability tools
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts and support incident/problem management
  • Partner with engineering teams to improve system reliability and scalability
  • Implement best practices for system uptime, alerting, and resiliency

Required Qualifications

  • Experience as an SRE, DevOps Engineer, or similar role
  • Strong understanding of real-time payment processing systems
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • AWS (cloud infrastructure)
    • Containers (Docker/Kubernetes preferred)
    • Splunk and Dynatrace (monitoring/observability)
  • Experience with API management platforms (Apigee preferred)
  • Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Financial services or banking experience
  • Exposure to high-transaction, low-latency systems

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Atlanta, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.
