JOB SUMMARY: 

This position performs advanced technical work operating high-speed laser printing systems and associated publishing and finishing equipment in support of production operations. Responsibilities include setting up and operating equipment, monitoring print jobs to ensure adherence to established quality assurance standards and troubleshooting minor operational issues. The incumbent confers with customers to clarify production requirements and coordinates with vendors by placing service calls for equipment maintenance and repair as needed.

Additional duties include working alternate shifts as needed, training and assisting staff in the operation of printing and finishing equipment, maintaining adequate inventory levels of supplies, performing routine housekeeping to ensure a safe and organized work environment, and responding to telephone inquiries.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  

  • One year of data processing experience.
  • One year of quality assurance or quality control experience.
  • Experience monitoring systems, identifying performance issues, documenting malfunctions and notifying support staff.

PREFERENCES:

  • Experience working with high priority, confidential document processing.
  • Experience working with high volume print files in a production environment.
  • Experience evaluating needs and making logical decisions to manage resources appropriately.

SPECIAL NOTES:

  • This position is located at Huntley Park and is assigned a work schedule of Sunday - Thursday (00:00 - 08:00).
  • With or without assistance, this position requires occasional lifting (up to 60 lbs.).

SALARY: Tentative salary is $2,980.03 + differential for alternate hours / monthly
