Job Description

Sweet Tooth Pediatric Dentistry is excited to announce an opening for a dedicated and dynamic Dental Treatment Coordinator. The Dental Treatment Coordinator will be instrumental in ensuring smooth operation and communication within the practice, focusing on optimized patient experience and effective treatment planning. 

As a Dental Treatment Coordinator at Sweet Tooth Pediatric Dentistry, you will have the opportunity to work in a supportive and energetic environment alongside skilled dental professionals who are committed to excellence in pediatric dental care. You will play a crucial role in the organizational success of the clinic, facilitating the efficient delivery of dental services and enhancing patient satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and serve as the director of first impressions for the clinic.
  • Coordinate and schedule appointments and confirm upcoming appointments to reduce no-shows.
  • Discuss treatment plans with patients and their guardians, providing clear information on the necessity and benefits of recommended procedures.
  • Manage patient records with accuracy and ensure all treatments are correctly documented and communicated to the dental staff.
  • Collaborate with the dental care team to streamline patient care and optimize treatment schedules.
  • Handle billing and payment processing, ensuring transactions are accurate and patient questions are addressed promptly.
  • Engage in continuous education about the latest pediatric dental practices to enhance your role and provide up-to-date information to patients.
  • Facilitate communication between patients, families, and various dental care professionals to ensure effective treatment outcomes.
  • Provide empathetic support and guidance to patients and families, making their dental care experience as positive as possible.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Dental Treatment Coordinator or similar role in a dental office environment is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills 
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on clear and compassionate patient interactions.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, practices, and treatment coordination process.
  • Understanding of dental office compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other healthcare regulations.
  • High level of professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development in the dental health field.
